BYOU | untensils and taste

In this two-week design project, we, teamed up as four, designed a new tasting system that allow users to not only customize their eating untensils, but also share the tastiness of their meals with friends on a paired mobile application. This platform, cleverly named BYOU, allows users to sync their utensils with the app, where endless combinations of flavors and textures are recorded and uploaded using sensors located inside the utensils. On the app, users can store their taste data, engage with friends by both sharing flavors and rank their favorite dishes. Overall, the combination of app and utensils provides a playful location for digital eating to flourish, while continuing to promote other restaurants.
